Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled Dietary Supervisor - Nutrition & Dining Manager to oversee the production, service, and retail operations of our food service department. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest quality service to our patients, visitors, employees, and guests while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and oversee meal production to ensure quality, taste, and appearance
  • Manage retail/cash handling, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Coordinate catering services and vendor management
  • Verify and enter diet orders and meal selections
  • Use food service management software and adhere to safety and sanitation codes
  • Communicate effectively and demonstrate team-based management
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Preferred qualifications include RD, CDM, CFPP, experience working in a healthcare environment, Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certification, and cooking experience
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • May be exposed to extreme heat or cold, loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, and sharp objects
Travel Requirements
  • 100% Onsite
