Public Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Safety Officer to join our team at DePaul University. As a Public Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol designated campus areas to detect and prevent crime, and enforce all laws and University rules and regulations.
- Monitor the safety of students, faculty, and staff, and respond to service calls and alarms.
- Assist Chicago Police and Fire departments with special detail, as needed, for campus activities and events.
- Provide escort services for students, faculty, and staff, and respond to medical emergencies.
- Test and monitor emergency equipment and radio transmissions.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience or an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive a University vehicle.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
