Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints and quality expectations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and coordinators to facilitate daily site operations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality control measures among subcontractors.
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including owners and architects.
- Utilize Microsoft Project and Procore software for project scheduling and budgeting.
- Manage project documentation through digital platforms like DropBox.
- Monitor and report on project progress to management and stakeholders.
- Train and supervise site assistants, including junior superintendents and skilled laborers.
- Conduct quality inspections of ongoing and completed work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (additional qualifications are advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction with a General Contractor
- At least 3 years of experience as a Superintendent leading project teams
- Significant experience with ground-up commercial projects (experience in hotels, resorts, wineries, restaurants, and high-end commercial projects is highly preferred)
- Thorough understanding of project drawings, specifications, and details
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Bluebeam/Adobe, P6, and Procore (or similar project management tools)
