Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the property meet high standards of quality and safety. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the hotel, working collaboratively with the existing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment throughout all shifts.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs as mandated by regulations.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services.
  • Procure necessary materials, supplies, and tools for maintenance activities.
  • Oversee and delegate tasks related to painting, construction, installations, and general maintenance.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and specialized equipment while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance audits to verify the operational status of facility equipment.
  • Document routine and preventative maintenance activities, particularly for critical systems like generators and fire alarms.
  • Prioritize and address maintenance requests promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Implement loss prevention and security measures.
  • Manage the upkeep of outdoor areas, including landscaping and exterior hotel maintenance.
  • Be available for urgent maintenance issues outside of regular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members regarding repairs and concerns.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs without assistance.
  • Capable of responding effectively during emergency situations.
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining hotel standards through preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Check for open maintenance work orders upon arrival and address issues promptly.
  • Ensure safe access to buildings during winter weather conditions.
  • Inspect and maintain building elevators and boiler rooms.
  • Perform tasks as directed by management.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on heating and cooling units.
