Job Overview

Position Summary: Lead and oversee the maintenance team during assigned shifts, ensuring all maintenance activities related to utilities, processing, packaging, and facility management are executed efficiently. Proactively identify, plan, and resolve any issues that arise within the designated areas during the shift. Accountable for the successful implementation of the maintenance strategy as it pertains to shift personnel. Collaborate with management and team members to enhance operational areas and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Shift Operations, Leadership, and Strategic Decision Making
  • Provide mentorship and direction to the maintenance workforce.
  • Implement management directives and communicate any updates to the subsequent shift. Train and document processes for new or temporary staff in their respective roles.
  • Uphold company policies and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by maintenance personnel in critical areas such as tracking spare parts usage, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules, and promptly informing upper management of any maintenance-related concerns.
  • Oversee Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting Efforts.
  • Document and report any irregularities. Supervise utilities, production, and facility areas.
  • Ensure all shift assignments are completed thoroughly, with accurate reporting of parts used and findings. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment issues and engage in all operational areas.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within maintenance, technical, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office with a strong emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Total Quality Management (TQM), Trusted Platform Module (TPM), or Maintenance Excellence is advantageous.
  • Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Fix, Hippo, eMaint, Assert Manager, etc., is preferred.
