Job Overview

Position Summary:
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and functionality of the hotel premises. Your primary focus will be to ensure the seamless operation and aesthetic appeal of the property. We are seeking a dedicated maintenance engineer to collaborate with our existing engineering team at RMS Construction LLC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute tasks in a systematic and timely manner.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment throughout your shift.
  • Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs as mandated by regulations.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other specialized services.
  • Procure necessary materials, supplies, and tools.
  • Oversee and assign duties related to painting, construction, installations, and general maintenance of the hotel.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, and lighting systems, along with compliance to local and federal codes.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance audits to verify the operational status of facility equipment.
  • Document routine and preventative maintenance activities concerning essential systems.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders promptly, ensuring all maintenance requests are addressed efficiently.
  • Implement loss prevention and security measures.
  • Maintain the exterior grounds and irrigation systems of the hotel.
  • Be available for urgent maintenance issues outside of regular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members regarding repairs and concerns.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs without assistance.
  • Capability to respond efficiently during emergency situations.
  • Willingness to work weekends as necessary.
  • Adhere to hotel standards by performing necessary preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Check for open maintenance work orders upon arrival and address issues promptly.
  • Ensure safe access to building entrances during winter conditions.
  • Inspect elevator operations and boiler room conditions regularly.
  • Carry out tasks as directed by management.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling units.
