Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an energy metering program to track energy use for individual campus buildings and identify opportunities for energy reduction projects.
- Lead the development of energy projects from initial survey through project justification, funding, execution, and verification of energy savings.
- Ensure that the University receives the best value for its capital dollars for HVAC controls on new construction and renovation projects, and that existing controls operate at optimum efficiency.
- Grow and lead the Energy and Sustainability program to achieve carbon reduction goals, establishing and coordinating communication of goals, best practices, and accomplishments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience.
- Understanding of commercial HVAC building controls, including design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Analytical skills to acquire energy data, analyze it, and develop energy reduction strategies.
- Understanding of engineering economics to determine project economic benefits and costs.
