ROLE SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is actively seeking a Senior Service Desk Technician for a contract-to-hire role. This position is crucial for maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure, which encompasses networks, servers, security measures, storage management, and business continuity protocols. The ideal candidate will provide remote global support while continuously monitoring all active network connections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee Project and Vendor Relationships – Manage local subcontractors and consultants.
  • Deliver Daily IT Helpdesk Support – Ensure resolution of issues while meeting service level agreements.
  • Configure and Deploy IT Equipment – Manage the distribution of computers and peripherals throughout the organization.
  • Maintain Global Infrastructure – Focus on availability, reliability, and performance to ensure enterprise-wide stability.
  • Mentor and Coach Team Members – Support local consultants and team members in their professional development.
  • Ensure IT Security Compliance – Adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  • Advise on Selection Methods – Provide guidance on techniques and evaluation criteria for optimal results.
  • Enhance Process Efficiencies – Leverage technology to support organizational goals.
  • Provide Expert Input on Technology – Improve reliability and cost-effectiveness of LAN/WAN systems.
  • Manage Telephonic Infrastructure – Oversee systems across multiple regions.
  • Track IT Assets Effectively – Maintain visibility into the lifecycle of equipment.
  • Identify Network Performance Issues – Address availability, utilization, and latency concerns.
  • Fulfill Organizational Goals – Explore new opportunities to add value.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years as a Senior Service Desk Technician – Experience in network, server, security, and storage administration.
  • 5+ years in Network Support – Proficient in routing, switching, and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Firewall Experience – Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and ASA.
  • Office/M365 Support Skills – Knowledge of Azure, MS Endpoint Management, and Active Directory.
  • Cloud Platform Familiarity – Experience with hybrid domains and MS Endpoint.
  • Azure Cloud Proficiency – Skills in managing servers, roles, and network security.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Citrix Cloud Experience – Knowledge of publishing desktops and remote applications.
  • CAD Software Proficiency – Experience with Autodesk and AutoCAD Inventor.
  • ERP System Knowledge – Familiarity with Epicor 10 and MS Dynamics (D365).
  • Industry Experience – Background in engineering design or commercial industrial manufacturing.
