Position Overview:
The role involves enhancing the design and operational efficiency of our systems and equipment through effective engineering methodologies, including the application of lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will:

  • Lead initiatives to implement Lean Manufacturing strategies.
  • Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Material Information Flow Charts (MIFC) to identify and drive improvement efforts.
  • Establish and apply standards to assess improvement activities.
  • Analyze and optimize workflow, spatial requirements, and equipment layout to boost manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical failures related to tools and equipment.
  • Ensure safety in process design and daily operations.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate standards (ISO, TS, etc.) and ensure quality outputs.
  • Collect and analyze data to support improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate design of experiments (DOE) to enhance processes.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure timely execution of planned activities.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with vendors, team members, and project teams.
  • Lead mid-sized projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating a proactive approach.
  • Engage in continuous personal and professional development.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from an accredited institution, with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering with 0-3 years of experience, or a 2-year Technical Degree with a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience in production assembly processes, preferably in an automotive context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time.
