Job Summary:The Electrician will be responsible for installing, building, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery containing electrical componentry. This includes providing support for the manufacturing of quality products through maintenance and installation of electrical components and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, build, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, including PLC-controlled machinery, robotic welding, pneumatic, hydraulic press control, and general manufacturing mills and presses.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including metering devices, hand tools, scissor lifts, programmable logic control (PLC), volt/ohm meter (VOM), diagnostic computers, conduit benders, threading equipment, AMP probe, megger, thermographic, and ultrasonic analysis.
- Work in a safe manner, providing constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility.
- Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair machinery.
- Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
- Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running.
- Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested.
- Advanced troubleshooting of both equipment and systems, including PLC troubleshooting, variable frequency drives, induction welders, mid-freq welders, etc.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Ohio State Electrician's License preferred.
- Master Electrician Certificate preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g., word, excel, outlook, etc.).
- Allen Bradley Proficiency.
