We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Givaudan, a leading global company in the fragrance and flavor industry. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • New Product or Process Industrialization:
    • Review and validate new product and process formulations to ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety viability.
    • Lead and monitor scale-up and first-time production to ensure product quality and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with production, quality, and planning departments to ensure seamless product transfers.
    • Propose and implement process and formula revisions to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Technical Process Improvement and Engineering:
    • Identify and implement process and formula improvements to enhance site performance, quality, cost reduction, yield, and safety.
    • Provide site process engineering support and collaborate with regional engineering teams.
    • Create and update process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
    • Oversee the start-up of new equipment and processes.
    • Perform detailed capacity analysis and apply the DMAIC approach to problem identification and resolution.
  • Technical Problem Solving:
    • Provide operations solutions for formula and process issues, such as poor yield, chronic quality issues, and excessive processing time.
    • Develop and implement solutions for rework of out-of-specification product.
    • Lead complex problem resolution involving multiple processes and/or formulas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in chemical engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in process and/or project work.
  • Knowledge of food ingredients and common food industry raw material processing techniques.
  • Experience working with diverse workforces, including technical teams, manufacturing groups, and leadership.
  • Familiarity with Lean fundamentals and local, state, and federal regulations and GMPs affecting the food industry.
