The Role:
As a Closing Transactions Officer, you will serve as the primary liaison for clients and real estate professionals throughout the settlement process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating communication among all parties involved in the transaction.
- Acting as the main contact for buyers, sellers, and agents.
- Overseeing each file from initiation to completion, ensuring that all team members fulfill their responsibilities.
- Maintaining organization and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Gathering essential information from clients and agents to assist the title department in clearing titles.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and title expertise to enhance the client experience, guiding them through each step of the closing process.
- Responding to inquiries on our main phone line, explaining title quotes, title insurance, and the settlement process to prospective and current clients.
- Managing title and closing processes for all residential projects in your designated market.
- Coordinating tasks for yourself and your support team.
- Verifying title clearance for assigned files prior to closing.
- Collaborating with the support team to address title defects and reviewing all entity documents for adequacy.
- Reviewing closing documents for accuracy and completeness before and after the closing.
- Ensuring files are balanced before submission for funding.
- Preparing documents for recording and ensuring they are complete prior to post-closing.
- Adapting to changing responsibilities as required.
- Strong background in customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Escrow Officer is essential.
- Familiarity with Qualia, Tableau, and GSuite is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic setting.
- Effective communicator who conveys messages clearly and concisely.
- Technologically proficient and quick to learn new software.
