Job Summary:

As a Procurement Contract Assistant with the State of Oregon, you will play a crucial role in purchasing industrial services, supplies, and equipment for the Operations and Maintenance Section of the Facilities Division. Your responsibilities will include receiving and analyzing purchase requests, obtaining and evaluating bids, and ensuring compliance with related rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure industrial services, supplies, and equipment for the Operations and Maintenance Section.
  • Analyze purchase requests and ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Evaluate and approve bids for procurement purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and managers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
Requirements:
  • Two years of clerical-support experience in a related field, such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.
  • Associates degree or higher will substitute for the experience; A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) or similar word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
