Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the kitchen team in the preparation and execution of all menu items, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
  • Maintain full knowledge of menu items, including proper storage and preparation, to ensure efficient service and minimize waste.
  • Ensure completion of food safety checklists to guarantee proper food handling and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Manage labor deployment and ensure hourly labor is within parameters of set labor budget to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain and manage food cost within the restaurant, monitoring inventory levels and adjusting ordering schedules as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain proper food par levels and use prep sheets to prepare correct levels of food, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient service.
  • Assist the General Manager in completing inventory and maintaining accurate records of food and supply usage.
  • Handle any team member situations with genuine empathy and elevate to the General Manager as necessary, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures, directing the kitchen team to ensure completion of all daily checklist and side work assignments.
  • Partner with the General Manager to recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain a kitchen team, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.

Qualifications:
