NOMO Kitchen Sous Chef Job Description

The Sous Chef at NOMO Kitchen is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our kitchen. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and train staff to meet corporate quality standards and exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control food and labor costs, ensuring that we are maximizing guest satisfaction while minimizing waste.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with corporate and local health department regulations.
  • Menu Development: Work with the Director of F&B to create and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests and exceed their expectations.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and sanitized, and that staff are aware of and follow all safety protocols.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
