Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Trelleborg Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety culture and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and laws related to environmental health and safety
  • Develop and maintain safety records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • OSHA certification and knowledge of relevant regulations and laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field
  • Experience with safety management software and systems
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices
  • Certification in a specific area of environmental health and safety, such as hazardous materials or confined space entry
