Geological Environmental Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Geological Environmental Specialist to become a vital member of our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing geological and environmental evaluations, overseeing projects, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This role provides the chance to engage in a variety of projects, including site evaluations, remediation efforts, and environmental impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities of the Geological Environmental Specialist:

· Execute Phase I, II, and III environmental site evaluations.

· Conduct hydrogeological assessments, as well as soil and groundwater contamination investigations.

· Formulate and apply remediation strategies for polluted sites.

· Carry out field studies, which include soil sampling, groundwater surveillance, and geological surveys.

· Draft technical documentation, environmental impact reports, and compliance materials.

· Collaborate with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

· Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

· Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis and project oversight.

· Maintain compliance with environmental laws and standards (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA).

· Offer expert guidance on geological and environmental issues to aid client decision-making.

· Engage in business development initiatives, including proposal drafting and client presentations.

Qualifications for the Geological Environmental Specialist:

· Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).

· Professional Geologist (PG) certification in California and/or Washington.

· At least 5 years of pertinent experience in environmental consulting or a related sector.

· Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and compliance obligations.

· Proficient in GIS software and other geological modeling applications.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

· Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project locations as necessary.
