Summary
CHRISTUS Health is actively seeking three dedicated faculty members to enhance our Department of Pediatrics, specifically within the Section of Gastroenterology. We are looking for professionals in the following areas: General Pediatric Gastroenterology, Advanced Endoscopy, and Motility Disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, focusing on children with various gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.
- Conduct general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, along with related therapeutic interventions.
- Engage in consultative services and emergency room consultations for pediatric patients with gastrointestinal concerns.
- Supervise and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of Gastroenterology, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives through the Voelker Clinical Research Center, supporting faculty interested in advancing their research endeavors.
Qualifications:
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent qualifications.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent).
- Current licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology (or eligibility for certification).
