Position Overview:
CHRISTUS Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated faculty member to join our esteemed Department of Pediatrics, specifically within the Division of Gastroenterology, with a focus on Motility Disorders. This full-time role offers a faculty appointment, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in clinical duties encompassing both outpatient and inpatient care, along with consultative services and standard GI procedures. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of Gastroenterology. Additionally, the division provides an Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and is supported by the Voelker Clinical Research Center for those interested in clinical research.
- Deliver outpatient clinical services for pediatric patients experiencing intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.
- Provide inpatient care, consultations, and emergency services for children facing gastrointestinal challenges.
- Conduct general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Essential Qualifications:
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree or equivalent qualifications.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology or an equivalent program.
- Valid Texas Medical Board license.
- Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology or eligibility for such certification.
