Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming orders via phone, web portal, and fax in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers and referral sources.
- Collect and input comprehensive customer information, including insurance and medical details.
- Document infectious disease information as per policy.
- Ensure accurate data entry in the computer system.
- Complete necessary intake forms and patient setups, including insurance verifications and medical records.
- Gather all required medical documentation, such as prescriptions and authorizations.
- Provide accurate coding information to healthcare providers and obtain medical necessity documentation.
- Assist with equipment requests and troubleshooting as needed.
- Confirm and bill orders as required, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Maintain an organized library of insurance guidelines and product information.
- Conduct customer surveys and document feedback.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or certifications are preferred. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
