Position Overview

Organization: Sutter Health

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for executing both routine and advanced radiological procedures. This role is essential in producing high-quality imaging that assists physicians and healthcare professionals in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of radiological examinations independently, utilizing sound judgment and advanced clinical skills.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort through effective communication and thorough assessment.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and protocols to maintain patient privacy and safety.
  • May assist in training and orienting new staff members within the department.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 7 am and 9 pm, depending on clinic requirements. There may also be a rotation to various Sutter Health locations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Radiology Fluoroscopy certification may be required within a specified timeframe.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.

Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations with a solid grasp of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to radiology and healthcare documentation.

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Weekly Hours: 40
