Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Position, transfer, and immobilize patients as required, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Administer IV injections for contrast materials, following established protocols.
  • Perform quality control on MRI units and other equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Evaluate personnel and department work volume and flow to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Consistently follow Universal Precautions and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on MRI developments through professional journals, on-the-job training, and other educational opportunities.
  • Assist in performing first aid, CPR, and AED as needed.
  • Participate in peer competencies and training new team members.
  • Report equipment issues to clinical engineering and vendor service engineers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT) or ARMRIT, and registered in MRI (ARRT-MR) upon hire or within 4 months of hire.
  • Clear MRI safety screening to safely work in Zone IV.
  • Preferred: Siemens equipment experience.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • ARRT (R) or ARMRIT.
  • ARRT (MR).
  • BLS.
  • California Certification in Venipuncture.

Salary Range: $79.34 USD Hourly
