Position Overview
The Facilities Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing and executing all maintenance activities within the facility at the designated training site. This role includes responding to maintenance requests from personnel, identifying necessary routine upkeep tasks, and organizing preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Note: This role may require performing duties outside standard business hours as necessary.
  • Act as the primary contact for Air Force Civil Engineering (CE) support.
  • Submit service requests for repairs, replacements, enhancements, and construction work in accordance with relevant policies and directives.
  • Ensure the security of assigned facilities while maintaining an effective key control system.
  • Complete all Force Protection Conditions (FPCON) checklist items as they change.
  • Implement Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM).
  • Ensure compliance with emergency management checklists in response to changing weather conditions.
  • Conduct inspections of the facility, including environmental assessments.
  • Maintain the area surrounding the facility, including snow and ice removal.
  • Keep a continuity book, either in binder form or electronically.
  • Perform minor repairs such as painting, light bulb replacements, and ceiling tile changes.
  • Coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical systems, including security systems and HVAC.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor work, fostering collaboration with third-party property management as needed.
  • Log issues and discrepancies found during facility inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and local standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Document all identified issues in the assigned management software.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • Proactive maintenance approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and capable of adapting to changing schedules.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance practices and safety protocols.
  • Able to work independently and interact professionally with various management levels.
