Job Description

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Quality Supervisor to join our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team. The selected individual will be responsible for supervising the Quality Department staff and maintaining the site Quality Management System for F-35 aircraft Interim Contractor Support (ICS) located at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Quality Assurance Inspectors to ensure that aircraft are in sound mechanical condition and safe for flight.
  • Conduct or supervise investigations of any quality-related nonconformity, incident, accident, mishap, or infraction.
  • Manage document control requirements and communicate regularly with the maintenance and Government customers.
  • Conduct or supervise Internal Process audits to ensure compliance to written procedures and customer requirements.
  • Inspector training, performance assessment, work assignments, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Manage the company Environmental/Safety/Health requirements for the entire ICS team.
  • Provide technical assistance as required.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid State Driver's License.
  • Must have vision acuity correctable to 20/20.
  • Must be willing to deploy to various locations (within and outside the US) and work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have at least 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience, either within the aerospace industry and/or the military.
  • Must have been previously awarded a USN/USMC MATMEP Level 4/ASM Level 3000 rating, Air Force 7 Level, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE)/Ground Support Equipment (GSE); safety programs; maintenance information system; formal on-the-job training methods; tool & FOD industry standards or calibration management and procedures.
Desired Skills
  • Experience as a Quality Assurance Supervisor/Inspector in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Fighter aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Fifth generation aircraft experience.
  • Experience with Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
  • Familiar with DCMAI 8210.1C and associated Consolidated Ground Operation Procedures.
  • Familiar with OPNAV Instruction and associated instructions.
  • Experienced with planning, executing, and recording Process Compliance Surveillance Program audits.
  • Experience with conducting audits that comply with AS9100/9110 standards.
  • Experience with process compliance, write/review Corrective Action/Preventative Action reports, perform root cause analysis, and validate quality processes, responses, and plans.
  • Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Reps, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer (Government Contract Quality Assurance) and maintainers regarding quality issues, Deficiency Analysis/Reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to quality as they occur.
  • Solid organizational/administrative skills.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite products.
