Aircraft Mechanic III Job Description

As an Aircraft Mechanic III at Kay and Associates, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of mechanics in the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
  • Supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations.
  • Perform diagnosis and corrective actions, disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and accomplish necessary repairs.
  • Determine what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required.
  • Verify work performed by another for which you are qualified to perform.
Requirements:
  • 10 years or more of Organizational, Intermediate, and/or Depot level maintenance experience.
  • 3 or more years previously certified Aircraft Safe for Flight.
  • Experience in Aircraft, Engine, ALSS, Egress, Armament, and Support Equipment Logbooks and Records entries.
  • Advanced Corrosion Control Course/Paint and Final Finish.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years' B-1 maintenance experience.
  • Basic Corrosion Control Course.
  • Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift required.
  • Ability to work flexible work week if required.
  • Ability to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.
