Reservations Coordinator

Job Summary
As a Reservations Clerk, you will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. You will identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types, verify availability, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. You will also accommodate and document special requests, answer questions about property facilities and services, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Additionally, you will input and access data in the reservation system, indicate special room reservation types, and follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
Responsibilities
Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types
Verify availability of room types and rates
Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
Accommodate and document special requests
Answer questions about property facilities and services
Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
Input and access data in the reservation system
Indicate special room reservation types
Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns
Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
