Support the Ambulatory Surgery Team

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center. In this role, you will provide critical support to the facility by performing various business office functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling surgeries and handling calls from physician's offices to confirm patient information.
  • Answering phone calls in a pleasant manner and dealing with patient and physician needs efficiently.
  • Performing pre-registration tasks, obtaining authorization from physicians' offices, and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Maintaining logs for cancelled appointments and ensuring clean and orderly work areas.
  • Verifying scheduled cases promptly and contacting patients with financial responsibilities to discuss payment options.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on surgery scheduling procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling stress and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility with hours and willingness to cover shifts as needed.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $17.86 and $24.48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
