Medical Office Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at SCA Health.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and excellent communication skills.
This role is responsible for providing support to our facility by performing various business office functions, including medical records, credentialing, admissions/intake, accounts payable, billing, collections, insurance verification, and other duties as assigned.
- The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities.
Scheduling: The Medical Office Coordinator will schedule surgeries in the computer system, handle calls from physician offices, and ensure that authorization is obtained prior to surgery.
Registration: The coordinator will perform pre-registration, complete necessary paperwork, and use the computer system to generate information for surgical procedures.
Clerical Duties: The Medical Office Coordinator will maintain logs for cancelled appointments, perform photocopying, mail surveys, prepare patient charts, fax forms, and retrieve faxes as needed.
- The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently and function within a team, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
To be successful in this role, the Medical Office Coordinator should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare, and one year of experience in surgery scheduling procedures. A basic knowledge of surgery scheduling, receptionist, and registration responsibilities is required.
- The estimated salary for this role is between $17.86/Hr and $24.48/Hr, depending on location and experience.
