Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Operations Manager to join our team at Atrium Health University City. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for supervising and planning the operational aspects of our performance centers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with department leaders to establish and implement new policies and procedures within diagnostic radiology.
  • Assist in planning new diagnostic services and facilities, equipment, and personnel needs.
  • Address employee, patient, and physician complaints, and implement corrective actions to address identified problems.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual capital equipment and operation budget, and complete detailed monthly variance reports.
  • Recommend and justify changes to existing charge structures, and collect and analyze statistical data as required.
  • Evaluate and counsel employees on their job performance, conduct, and adherence to department and hospital policy.
  • Attend and conduct diagnostic section meetings with staff and managers, and recommend hiring, promotion, discipline, and termination of employees.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, and completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of previous management experience, preferably in a related field.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling while assisting with procedures in diagnostic areas. Lifting, pulling, pushing, and gripping may be required for moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Vision and hearing for distances of at least 20 feet are essential, and manual dexterity is required for operating diagnostic equipment and personal computers.
