Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our operations. We are redefining the standards in radiology, making it an essential step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

This is a PRN role, primarily involving 12-hour shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  • Conducts pre-examination screenings to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers for accuracy.
  • Provides thorough explanations to patients regarding MRI procedures, ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Executes routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, while maintaining patient comfort through communication.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best results.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and sanitary, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains equipment functionality; cleans and disinfects machinery after each use.
  • Upholds all HIPAA regulations.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  • Assists in the upkeep of imaging protocol manuals and software updates.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering technical support and guidance.
(5%) Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • ARRT registered technologist, in good standing.
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved radiography program.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience and training sufficient to independently perform MRI procedures.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred:
  • Bilingual capabilities.
