Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our team's success by providing diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and physician assistants. Your expertise will protect employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and ensure the safe use of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm understanding
  • Clean and maintain radiology equipment, reporting malfunctions to the Radiology Manager
  • Prepare copies of x-ray films/CDs for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required
  • Log radiological procedures completed, process charges, and related paperwork using computer equipment
  • Maintain examination room cleanliness and stock necessary medical and radiological supplies
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association
  • Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background
  • Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible
  • Current CPR certification recommended
