AGC | Production Operations Supervisor

The Production Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the manufacturing processes within the facility, ensuring adherence to company policies and operational procedures to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all production activities during assigned shifts, collaborating with fellow supervisors to ensure that all operational and departmental objectives are fulfilled.
  • Foster a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate the initiation and conclusion of production runs, as well as transitions between jobs.
  • Manage workforce utilization, including overtime, attendance, and training initiatives.
  • Lead and facilitate problem-solving efforts.
  • Collaborate with support departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain.
  • Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned.
  • Mentor and develop the production team to ensure ongoing success.
  • Organize work schedules for direct reports.
  • Conduct annual performance assessments for production staff.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant leadership and production experience.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, and 8D.
  • Solid understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Competent computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and ISO standards.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Previous experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent process management skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management competencies.
