Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Beacon Specialized Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing strategies as outlined in the ICARES program, ensuring clear communication with employees, and providing advice and assistance on company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and implement strategies as outlined in the ICARES program
  • Ensure clear communication with employees aligning with overall company and HR strategies
  • Design regular employee engagement communications to share with employees
  • Stay informed and aware of organizational operations and initiatives
  • Receive, review, and approve disciplinary actions
  • Provide sound advice to leadership on adhering to the progressive disciplinary policy
  • Respond to employee concerns and provide timely feedback
  • Complete exit interviews with Direct Care employees
  • Provide unemployment information and attend hearings as necessary
  • Monitor and implement Corporate Retention Strategic Plan
  • Submit Monthly turnover reports and track trends
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Promote and follow safety guidelines
  • Understand internal and external policies and follow employee rules of conduct and performance
  • Promote community awareness and demonstrate responsible behavior
  • Participate in regulatory and agency in-service training

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least two years of employee engagement experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior listening skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and HRIS system(s)
