About This Opportunity
This is a PRN position, with shift coverage on an as-needed basis. We're looking for a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Child Crisis team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Your Responsibilities:
- Schedule individuals for crisis assessment services and triage those who present with emergent medical and/or psychiatric problems.
- Perform clinical intakes with individuals requesting services, coordinating with screening/referral teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Complete documentation required to meet state and accreditation standards for crisis and assessment services.
- Schedule individuals for the Injection Clinic and administer psychotropic medication, educating and supporting them about their treatment.
- Deal effectively with a variety of people, including individuals requesting services, staff, providers, and the public.
- Input electronic medical record documentation, checking Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare status for each individual.
- Mail correspondence to individuals receiving services and the provider community.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required, maintaining certification in all agency, state, and federal training requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Associates degree or higher in Nursing (or equivalent)
- Valid Driver's License
- LPN licensure in the State of North Carolina
- Experience with children/youth/adolescents in a Crisis setting and Psychiatric Nursing Experience
Estimated Annual Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
