The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and winery management software, along with expertise in laboratory analysis equipment. This is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to a prestigious luxury winery group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily analyses and monthly SO2 evaluations utilizing Foss and Mettler Toledo SO2 titrators or alternative methods.
  • Manage work order entries in Innovint software.
  • Perform physical inventory checks on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and track current inventory levels within Innovint.
  • Uphold exceptional winemaking standards.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of wine progression and identify any irregularities, including volatile acidity, re-fermentation, and changes in microbial populations.
  • Supervise seasonal cellar staff at various facilities.

Harvest Responsibilities:

  • Conduct grape sampling and processing activities.
  • Adhere to all directives and protocols set forth by the Winemakers.
  • Order necessary wine addition supplies for the harvest season.
  • Execute harvest additions and inoculations as instructed.
  • Oversee and monitor primary and secondary fermentation processes.
  • Perform light cellar tasks as required, including punch-downs, pump-overs, and sanitation duties.

Bottling Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bottling runs and collect quality control samples and data.
  • Monitor the racking and blending processes of wines.
  • Keep track of bottling supplies and ensure adequate inventory.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in food science or enology.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability for a demanding harvest schedule, which may include 6-7 days of work per week and shifts exceeding 10 hours.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
