Senior Account Executive

Alera Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Account Executive to join our Property & Casualty team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading client service experiences, supporting account growth, and providing risk management advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement client risk management strategies
  • Travel and participate in client meetings to build strong relationships
  • Support the development of new business opportunities
Technical Expertise:
  • Stay current with industry trends and market changes through ongoing education and training
  • Analyze quotes and coverage comparisons to ensure optimal client solutions
  • Identify opportunities for personal and professional growth and development
Marketing & Negotiating:
  • Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters to secure competitive quotes
  • Stay informed about market conditions and carrier appetites
  • Negotiate desirable outcomes by anticipating carrier perspectives
Risk Management Advisor Role:
  • Acquire comprehensive information to obtain competitive quotes
  • Present consultative proposals to clients
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and support staff
Personal Attributes:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex insurance concepts in simplified terms
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead by example and participate in the development of others
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years' experience in P&C Insurance as an Underwriter, Account Manager, Sales, and/or Marketing role
  • NY State Property & Casualty license, Insurance Designation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and expertise in Microsoft Office products

Alera Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
