Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of intricate projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise multiple job sites to ensure effective management of projects through all construction phases, including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
  • Identify necessary resources and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
  • Oversee daily project operations and scope management.
  • Manage estimating and pricing components of projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Review team deliverables prior to client submission.
  • Apply established methodologies and enforce project standards effectively.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.
  • Create cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Select and coordinate subcontractor activities across various project phases.
  • Monitor performance of trade contractors and ensure compliance with architectural and engineering specifications.
  • Administer construction contracts and secure all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise Project Engineers, reviewing their reports and addressing any reported issues or safety violations.
  • Identify potential design and construction elements that may lead to disputes or claims.
  • Ensure construction activities adhere to established schedules and profitability forecasts, regularly monitoring progress and conducting status meetings.
  • Manage project accounting, including budget oversight, tracking team expenses, and minimizing risks.
  • Maintain strict compliance with budgetary guidelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Report progress and necessary modifications to stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities and teams effectively.
  • Experience in developing accurate project estimates and pricing reports.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to navigate construction sites, including traversing uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and conducting visual inspections of construction quality. Regular job site walks are necessary to ensure project success and identify safety hazards.


Work Environment:

The work environment is characterized by collaboration, team building, and strong supervisor-employee relationships. The duties of this role are performed on-site, and employees are expected to work in an office/job site setting.


While performing job duties, employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and varying weather conditions. The noise level can be high, and employees must be prepared for outdoor work environments.
