About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the performance contracting market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Sell performance contracting solutions to C-level executives at large enterprises, focusing on maximizing share of customer business.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with economic buyers, owners, and owner representatives to drive solution sales.
  • Account Management: Manage ongoing sales processes, develop relationships, and respond to customer needs.
  • Lead Generation: Seek out, target, and initiate contact with prospective customers, developing a network of contacts and leveraging sales process checkpoints.
  • Solution Selling: Address customer financial, business, operational, and environmental objectives, needs, and requirements, recommending solutions that match their business and financial challenges.
  • Resource Management: Maximize assigned project development engineering resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring the customer and Johnson Controls receive maximum value.
  • Proposal Development: Effectively write, present, and communicate proposals, securing major opportunities through the use of financial agreements.
  • Sales Process Management: Utilize applicable sales tools to plan and document progress, increasing business opportunity in accounts and managing the sales process steps of the pipeline.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the sales team by building and fostering team relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and soliciting support from internal staff.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the customer's advocate in interactions with the Johnson Controls organization, ensuring the customer obtains the best value from our offerings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five to seven years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level.
  • Skills: Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills, and ability to influence the market at key levels.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 50%.
