Position Summary: We are in search of a seasoned Vice President of Credit Risk Strategy to enhance our credit risk modeling capabilities. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in CECL statistical modeling and analytics, along with strong programming skills in Python, to drive advancements in our quantitative analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of CECL credit risk models, employing advanced statistical methodologies to support our commercial real estate portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to refine existing models and create new ones aimed at effectively managing credit risk.
  • Perform comprehensive statistical analyses to extract insights regarding market risk factors, trends, and areas for enhancement.
  • Utilize Python programming to develop, implement, test, and maintain market risk models, ensuring precision and operational efficiency.
  • Keep informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in quantitative analytics and credit risk modeling.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Statistics or Finance is preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of demonstrated experience in comprehensive quantitative risk modeling for PD/LGD/EAD under CECL is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Allowance for Credit Losses and Commercial Real Estate is advantageous.
  • Technical expertise in Python or R is preferred.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, are essential.
  • Proven experience with Value-at-Risk and counterparty exposure models.
  • Expertise in statistical modeling techniques with a successful track record in developing and implementing models for market risk assessment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences.
