Position Summary

The Technical Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering tailored technical solutions to meet client needs. This includes facilitating data integration with the Encompass platform and documenting custom application requirements for development teams. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and customer engagement skills, fulfilling various roles such as business analyst, BI developer, technical solutions developer, and project leader.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Initiate projects by conducting discovery sessions with clients to assess project feasibility and scope.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring quality through regular audits of development outputs and timely feedback loops with clients.
  • Deliver completed projects to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and managing project handover.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, proactively addressing risks and issues as they arise.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with clients regarding project expectations.

Business Analysis

  • Draft comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) that outline project deliverables and resource estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project alignment with existing functionalities and long-term supportability.
  • Document client requirements and deliverables clearly, catering to varying levels of technical understanding.

Business Intelligence Development

  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating reports using Fusion and, optionally, Power BI.
  • Possess a solid understanding of database concepts, including table relationships and basic SQL queries.

Technical Solutions Development

  • Design and implement complex technical solutions, including integrations that require API configuration and field mapping.
  • Collaborate with internal developers for more intricate solution designs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to training sessions and presentations for both internal teams and clients.
  • Engage in internal projects and serve as a knowledge resource within the organization.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of Encompass features and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the beverage production or distribution sector and familiarity with Encompass.
  • Proficiency in developing integrations using iPaaS platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on technical documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects across different time zones.
  • Experience with relational databases and proficiency in SQL and Fusion reporting.
Education and Experience
  • A degree in Business, Information Services, Computer Science, or a related field, or
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the beverage industry.
