Job Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Specialist is a key member of our team at Oak Street Health, responsible for handling informatics responsibilities for providers during patient visits in our centers. This role requires a strong understanding of structured clinical assessments, accurate and specific documentation, population health workflows, and team-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and record patient encounters and examinations
  • Document patient information, history, and diagnoses
  • Assist in medical management and decision-making
  • Consult with the care team and other providers on patient needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to type 70+ words per minute
  • Basic level of medical knowledge and/or a willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to take direction and work as a member of a team
  • Excellent reliability and attention to detail
  • Compliance with hospital and Oak Street Health policies, including HIPAA
  • Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve, where necessary
  • US work authorization
