Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments and accurately documents findings in patient records.
  • Develops, reviews, and updates care plans, including discharge strategies, based on patient assessments.
  • Implements medical and nursing directives as per care plans and maintains thorough documentation.
  • Evaluates patient responses to care and provides education to patients and families as needed.
  • Supervises nursing staff (LPN, CNA, and PSA) assigned to patient care.
  • Engages in Bedside Shift Reporting.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure adherence to the ANA's Scope & Standards of Practice, using these standards as benchmarks for nursing practice.
  • Coordinates patient care in partnership with healthcare providers and support departments to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Completes unit-specific orientation and ongoing training as required by departmental roles and organizational standards.
  • Participates in family and patient care conferences, as well as daily operational meetings.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Wyoming Registered Nurse License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC)
  • Completion of required certifications within the specified timeframe of employment
  • Minimum of six months nursing experience; twelve months preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited nursing program
