Job Summary:
This position involves a full-time day shift, offering the flexibility to work from home or the office, with no weekend or holiday commitments. Previous experience in telemedicine is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

As the first point of contact for the department, you will manage and execute front office operations efficiently. Your responsibilities will include registering incoming patients, facilitating their journey through the healthcare process, and scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Check patients in for their appointments and ensure accurate demographic verification.
  • Oversee all check-in procedures, monitor patient wait times, and communicate any changes to patients.
  • Interpret insurance responses and understand guidelines to assign appropriate insurance categories.
  • Provide necessary disclosure and privacy information to patients, securing required legal and financial signatures.
  • Discuss financial responsibilities with patients and collect fees at the time of service when applicable.
  • Explain the purpose of regulatory forms and assist patients in completing them.
  • Conclude patient visits by scheduling any required follow-up appointments, including specialty services.
  • Manage multi-channel communications regarding appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and inquiries.
  • Inform patients or guarantors about expected financial responsibilities, including copays and deductibles, and collect payments accordingly.
  • Process cash postings in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Independently manage work queues to ensure timely resolution of accounts.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Ensure high confidentiality standards are upheld.
  • Accurately manage medical record maintenance and releases.
  • Assist with referrals and pre-certifications during patient encounters.
  • Effectively utilize and maintain patient recall and reschedule lists.

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - Required

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience - Preferred
