We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our Access Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register patients for appointments, verify demographics, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Insurance and Billing: Read and interpret insurance responses, assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance, and communicate financial responsibilities to patients.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform cash posting, maintain patient records, and complete other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient operations.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Certification(s) and License(s): None specified
