Position Overview:
As a key member of our healthcare team, the Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. This position offers the flexibility to work from home or in the office, with a commitment to a full-time day shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, facilitating their registration and appointment scheduling in an efficient manner.
2. Verify patient demographics and ensure all check-in protocols are followed, while monitoring wait times and communicating updates to patients.
3. Interpret insurance responses and understand the hierarchy of insurance coverage to accurately assign the appropriate plans.
4. Provide necessary disclosure and privacy information to patients, obtaining required legal and financial signatures.
5. Clearly communicate financial responsibilities to patients, collecting payments as necessary at the time of service.
6. Complete all regulatory forms with patients and assist in scheduling follow-up appointments for additional services.
7. Manage multi-channel communications regarding patient and physician inquiries, including appointments and referrals.
8. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and patient confidentiality standards.
9. Efficiently manage work queues to ensure timely resolution of all accounts, while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
10. Assist with referrals and pre-certifications during patient encounters, ensuring all records are accurately maintained.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
- A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
