Director, Personalization Architect

Position Summary

Fidelity Workplace Investing (WI) is in search of a seasoned architect within the Data & AI/ML Architecture division to enhance our Personalization and Experimentation product domain. Personalization stands as a vital component of our Digital Strategy, employing leading-edge platforms to provide experiment-driven, algorithmic, and AI/ML-enhanced experiences for clients, aimed at fulfilling their financial and health wellness goals. Our personalization solutions are collaborative efforts across various business sectors to elevate Fidelity's Customer and Client experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based, API-driven, self-service rules authoring interfaces and recommendation systems. Collaboration with business units and Enterprise Technology teams will be essential, as you partner with business leaders, architecture, and engineering to shape our foundational strategies and deliver essential capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Education – A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is mandatory.
  • Over 10 years of professional technology experience, including at least 5 years in architecture within the Data and Digital domains.
  • Proven track record in architecting scalable services, content recommendation systems, or orchestration engines.
  • Experience in developing highly available and scalable front-end solutions for Web (Angular) and Mobile (iOS, Android).
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and experience in creating and managing GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with low-latency NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Aerospike, or Cassandra.
  • Expertise in developing enterprise applications and data solutions in cloud environments, specifically Azure or AWS.
  • Collaboration with data engineers and data scientists to implement and deploy AI/ML models on platforms like AWS SageMaker.
  • Working knowledge of Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, Jenkins, and REST APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Java, along with familiarity in Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, Jenkins, and REST APIs.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, capable of conveying complex designs and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
