The Position
The Director of Architecture will take an active role in steering the comprehensive technical framework and will be accountable for the complete solution architecture within Fidelity TalentSource LLC. This role requires collaboration with Business/Product Leaders, Agile Teams, and Fellow Architects while advancing the digital and cloud modernization initiatives of Fidelity TalentSource LLC. The Director will engage with enterprise architecture to ensure compliance with overarching blueprints and guidelines. The primary focus is to facilitate and expedite the delivery of our teams by developing highly dependable, scalable, end-to-end solutions that provide significant business value.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Over 10 years of professional experience in architecture, design, and development of enterprise-level solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver technical guidance, create design documentation, and implement solutions for agile teams. You will oversee the comprehensive solutions architecture design and communicate the design to product leaders, agile teams, and architectural governance.
- Capability to collaborate with multiple teams to produce architectural documentation, resolve issues, develop wellness plans, and outline product roadmaps.
- Expertise in evaluating business direction, comprehending long-term visions, and assessing the risks and benefits of developing strategic technical solutions. Work closely with product leaders and teams in technology assessment, selection, recommendation, and configuration.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain effective relationships with product leaders, architects, and technical leads for specific products and applications. Collaborate with peer architects to identify opportunities for process refinement, enhance customer experience, or conduct capability assessments.
- Extensive knowledge of comprehensive architecture, including web, API design, data movement, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience working with enterprise data and security architects to comply with organizational standards.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively with all organizational levels, including technical and non-technical team members.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technological solutions.
- Strong communication skills: both written and verbal, including the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and practices, including building and deploying applications using AWS, Azure, or both. Cloud certification is preferred.
