Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Specialist to join our team at The Adult Skills Center. As a key member of our staff, you will provide administrative support and contribute to the success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend regular meetings and take minutes for various subgroups, ensuring timely distribution of meeting agendas and notes.
  • Audit STS notes, including client absence data, attendance data, and other relevant information.
  • Send reminders regarding employee absences to group facilitators and direct staff as needed.
  • Assist with nutrition group classes, including restocking supplies, shopping for ingredients, and maintaining kitchen facilities.
  • Distribute client paychecks on a regular basis.
  • Support the token economy system, including restocking gift cards and confirming balances with BCBAs.
  • Monitor program tablets for returns and charge them daily.
  • Order supplies for office, groups, and individualized client needs.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients requesting meetings with BCBA, Director of Program (STS), or Mental Health Therapist.
  • Maintain an organized art supply cabinet and accurate inventory.
  • Prepare curriculum packets for skill acquisition groups and interview packets.
  • Provide direct staffing support and emergency transportation as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals and cultures, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Requires initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong accountability and dependability skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete First Aid/CPR and other required training.
  • Current California Driver's license/Insurance and clean DMV record.
  • Criminal record clearance through the DOJ.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to drive company and/or personal vehicle for work.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
