Position Overview:

As a Senior Manager of Global Tax Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of U.S. informational international income tax returns along with associated workpapers. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting data collection and analysis, utilizing accounting and tax systems, and engaging directly with business partners.
  • Assessing changes in federal international compliance regulations and their implications for current and future business operations.
  • Preparing and assisting in the development of forecasts, estimates, and global tax calculations for both U.S. and foreign entities, including Foreign Derived Intangible Income and Global Intangible-Low Taxed Income.
  • Collaborating with foreign business units to review non-U.S. provision calculations.
  • Reconciling tax activities with the general ledger and monitoring deferred tax items.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and proposing strategies for implementation.
  • Working alongside various partners to review processes and evaluate new technologies.

Collaboration with Other Tax Groups:
  • Managing non-U.S. provisions.
  • Tracking deferred tax assets and liabilities.
  • Assisting with federal and state income tax audits.
  • Engaging in special projects related to forecasting, tax planning, and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:
Basic:
2-4 years of experience in a large corporation or a comparable role in a significant accounting firm, with a focus on international and federal income tax.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in income tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource RS or CorpTax), tax research software (e.g., RIA), and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to quickly learn new software is essential.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with systems such as SAP or similar general ledger systems, WorkFront, SharePoint, and IBM Cognos.
  • CPA or equivalent designation.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline is preferred.

Additional Information:
This role will involve undertaking ad-hoc projects, including updating key legislative changes, performing critical calculations, and conducting research. Experience with SAP and client interactions is advantageous.
