Global Taxation Advisor

Position Overview:

RTA US is currently seeking a Global Taxation Advisor to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity.

Employment Type: Contract/Remote

Compensation: $80-$90/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and evaluate US informational international income tax filings and associated documentation.
• Conduct data gathering and analysis, including inquiries with business partners and examination of accounting and tax systems.
• Assess the implications of changes in federal international compliance regulations on current and future operations.
• Assist in the preparation of forecasts, estimates, and global tax calculations for both US and international entities, including Foreign Derived Intangible Income and Global Intangible-Low Taxed Income.
• Collaborate with foreign business units to review Non-US provision calculations.
• Reconcile tax transactions with the general ledger and monitor deferred tax items.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and propose implementation strategies.
• Work alongside various partners to review processes and evaluate new technologies, including interactions with other tax departments.
• Engage in AdHoc projects such as legislative updates, key calculations, and research initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a large corporation or a comparable role in a major accounting firm.
• Experience should emphasize international and federal income tax.
• Proficiency in income tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource RS or CorpTax) and tax research tools (e.g., RIA).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a quick adaptability to new software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline.
• Experience with systems such as SAP or similar general ledger software, project management tools, and business intelligence platforms.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters tools.
